'Santa Monica' was captured when Dominik was exploring Los Angeles in June of 2023. This piece is part of the ‘States 23’ Collection. Dominik captured these shots while he was exploring LA on a photo walk. He has produced his favorite photographs from this journey to create this collection. The ‘Santa Monica’ is the overall final destination of all who take the journey on Route 66. The large Santa Monica sign creates this overwhelming feeling of reaching the final destination.

This sign is the entrance to the relaxed and enjoyable time ahead. This place is the goal of the long journey from the east to the west of the United States. Dominik loved the symbolism behind this. As Dominik stood there and observed this symbolic destination he was overwhelmed by the amount of people who were partaking in this journey. He observed the pure joy and happiness on everyone’s face.
