'City of Palm Trees' was captured when Dominik was exploring Los Angeles in June of 2023. This piece is part of the ‘States 23’ Collection. Dominik captured these shots while he was exploring LA on a photo walk. He has produced his favorite photographs from this journey to create this collection. Dominik chose ‘The City of Palm Trees’ as this is a common nickname given to Los Angeles. The amount of palm trees really adds to the beautiful relaxed vibe of the city.

The city feels extremely large and open, you don’t feel caged in and stressed. The freedom feeling is added to by the amount of palm trees. Dominik loved this photo as the people really created the feeling of the city. They are taking a relaxed walk among the palm trees. The touch of the setting sun also adds to the aesthetic. All these aspects add to the overall feel of the photograph, which in turn, Dominik believes represents the city where it was taken. Dominik Zky - ‘More than just a Photo’,
