'Californian Mountains' was captured when Dominik was exploring Los Angeles in June of 2023. This piece is part of the ‘States 23’ Collection. Dominik captured these shots while he was exploring LA on a photo walk. He has produced his favorite photographs from this journey to create this collection. ‘Californian Mountains’ is a beautiful scene captured by Dominik while he was on the walk from Santa Monica to Venice Beach. This is a landscape photograph connected to ‘Hill Escape.’

He wanted to make sure to photograph the completely natural side of Los Angeles, without people and buildings of any kind. He captured the California mountains in a photo that perceives them to be touching the sea. This is a side of California that is less seen than the urban jungle. The natural aspect was the main focus of this piece. Dominik wanted to transport people to the natural feeling of tranquillity and quiet. It is appreciating the other side of California.
